A Macmillan Coffee Morning, SHS style
Whilst some of the SHS team baked-up some marvelous cake creations, the rest of us just popped to the shop, but either way we all chipped in to do our part for the Macmillan Coffee Morning 2015. With 2.5 million people in the UK diagnosed with cancer, the
Macmillan nurses are an essential service; offering medical, emotional, practical and financial support for those affected.
You may have noticed the SHS office staff are not in uniform today and they haven’t been for a few weeks now. We managed to get a few of them on camera. As part of ‘dress down Fridays’ we have taken all the money raised and will be adding this to the Coffee Morning charity pot.
After munching on some delicious cakes and biscuits and drinking our fair share of coffee and tea, we have raised just under £100 and the morning isn’t over yet! Let’s face it, the cakes are going to be eaten all day long. [Update: we’ve counted the pennies and SHS has raised £134.55, well-done guys!]
