Balustrade Installations of the Year

As 2024 comes to a close, our team has been reflecting on all the incredible designs and projects we’ve had the pleasure to work on this year. Although each project holds a special place in our hearts, a few stand out.

Let’s take a look back at some of the more impressive installations of the year:

Commercial refurbishment

We had the privilege of working on several commercial renovations over the year and the result of these renovations is always remarkable. Here are a few highlights:

We kicked off January 2024 strong with a stunning commercial design to freshen up the reception area of a two-storey office. The design featured the combination of our Glass Button balustrade around the staircase with an added slotted handrail and our Frameless glass balustrade installed on the top floor landing area with no handrails but with added stiffener to provide more rigidity.

Look at this before and after – the transformation was breathtaking. For this staircase project, we designed a custom-made Professional glass balustrade system that was adapted to fascia fixing as the client wanted to maximise the stairway space as much as possible.

Our glass balustrades have become an essential feature for commercial spaces, where the risk of failing from elevated areas must be mitigated, as also stated by the UK building regulation.

Interior renovations

As 2024 progressed, we noticed an increase in internal balustrades. Glass balustrades can be perfect for a home’s interior as they allow light to pass through without obstruction, enhancing the appeal of your property and making your space look bigger. Here are some of our favourite indoor balustrade installations:

Exterior renovations

Picking a favourite exterior project is nearly impossible, not only because we worked on hundreds this year but also because they are all so unique in their own way and special to each member of our team. Here are just some honourable mentions:

This installation included renewal works for five large apartment terraces situated in a lovely location overlooking the Thames. Each luxury apartment required a renewal of railing to both the front and back of their terraces. The client opted for our Professional glass balustrades powder-coated anthracite grey.

Our Wire rope system travelled all the way to the beautiful Bahamas this year! After designing and manufacturing the balustrade in the UK, we shipped it to our customer, who arranged for its overseas transport.
