How to make the most of your outdoor space this summer

After the past year, it makes perfect sense that many would like to spruce up their outdoor space -having a little outdoor sanctuary can do wonders to the mind.  Many of us are also looking forward to having family gatherings in our gardens and enjoying the outdoor living space together.

Whether you are bored of your outdoor space and want to update it, or have a blank canvas to create your dream garden, we have some ideas for you:

Add a raised decking area

Composite decking boards are such an easy and beautiful addition to gardens and outdoor spaces of any size. Adding a decking area will immediately make your space look luxurious and welcoming, as you will now have a dedicated seating or lounging area.

A raised decking area can also be installed over the little bumps in the garden, making the outside space more useable and cleaner looking. Regardless of your area’s size and shape, a raised deck will add practical qualities to any outdoor area and can be a space-efficient solution for smaller sized gardens.

Our decking boards are really easy to work with and install. They are also weather-resistant and have a life span of over 20 years. To add extra safety, you can also add balustrades around your decking and privacy screens to provide privacy from your neighbours.

Zone out your outdoor space with balustrades

Balustrades are also great for creating featured areas and to zone off your outdoor area from the rest of the garden or home. This can also work perfectly for sectioning your space as a dining or barbecue area if you want to separate it from the rest of the garden.

Regardless of the size of your space, zoning out your space can help make the most of your outdoor area, especially for smaller gardens when you want to make use of every inch to its full advantage.

You could section a small relaxing area, a space for kids that is fenced off and safe for them to play, or a sheltered area for the rainy days.

Add a Juliet balcony

If you live in a city or an apartment and you only have a small balcony or limited outdoor space, a Juliet balcony can make a big difference. By adding a Juliet balcony, you can open your windows without worrying about safety.

The Juliet balcony creates a balcony effect without the cost of a full extension. It adds an extra sense of spaciousness and invites light and fresh air into your room.
