Installation of the month: Commercial refurbishment

SHS Blog Installation of the month Commercial refurbishment

Our installation of the month is this staircase project that helped add the final touches to an office refurbishment. This commercial design showcases our commitment to enhancing safety without sacrificing the aesthetics or space while also adhering to UK building regulations.

We conducted a thorough survey and then designed a custom-made Professional glass balustrade system. The design was initially intended to be top-fixed, but we adapted our approach to fascia fixing as the client wanted to maximise the stairway space as much as possible.

Fascia fixed balustrades are fitted on the front or outside edge of a structure to save space or it’s used as an alternative mounting method for flat roods and balustrades that can’t be fitted down due to structural matters.

The fitting doesn’t compromise the balustrade but only adds extra advantages to your design. Fascia fixing is just as strong as any traditional fitting and the perfect choice for balconies, decking, landings, walkways, and stairways, and it’s suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings.

Our glass balustrades are an essential feature for commercial buildings, where the risk of failing from elevated areas such as staircases, balconies and rooftops must be mitigated, as also stated by the UK building regulation.

Glass railings not only ensure safety but also add an elegant touch to your building’s aesthetic. We provide bespoke, tailor-made glass balustrades and Juliet balconies with various finishes that meet your design needs.
