How is it made?

Low-carbon glass is produced using less carbon by using more cullet content (recycled glass), which reduces the need for raw material extraction, and by optimising fuel use and furnace settings to lower the overall carbon emissions during the manufacturing process.

Why choose low-carbon glass?

As mentioned above, the low carbon glass meets the same safety standards with no compromise on quality or strength, whether it’s used for our glass balustrades, canopies or Juliet balconies. It is just an environmentally friendly alternative with raw materials that have up to 52% lower carbon content.

Glass, in general, is one of the most sustainable materials available for balustrades. It’s fully recyclable, it’s long-lasting and can be repurposed again and again. Low carbon glass goes even further with its sustainability, focusing on the sake of our planet from the manufacturing process to end use.

A First for the Domestic Market

While this kind of product is slowly making its way into industries like architecture and street furniture, we are among the very first companies to offer it for domestic projects. What other steps do we take to be eco-conscious?

We also recycle all our scrap glass from the balustrade manufacturing process. We use 100% recyclable stainless steel in our systems and offer miscellaneous glass panels for immediate dispatch for creative repurposing.
